In the 2023 Lenten Season we introduced a new service opportunity called Easter Angel Outreach. Modeled after the abundantly successful ThanksGifting event, we again collected hygiene and some food products as well as some small Easter gifts for children. Two weeks before Easter Sunday we set up a "store" in one of our classrooms and offered "Personal Shoppers" to guide our guests as they created their own customized "Easter Blessings Basket" (Goody Bag) from parishioners' donations. At the same time, Saint Vincent De Paul’s (SVDP) Household Goods and Furniture Drive set up a “store” for our guests to choose from gently used clothing and home goods also donated by our parishioners.
We served 100+ individuals, families and organizations including clients of
- Saint Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament, Maria Goretti, and Joan of Arc
- Sober Living
- Catholic Charities Adult Affordable Housing
- Catholic Charities Nurturing Parenting, In-home Services
- Family Promise, and
- those who have been referred to the Parish Office by staff, clergy or other
