Our 2023 ThanksGifting Parish Outreach was a great success thanks to our generous parishioners!
Our long-standing parish tradition made a difference for more than 100 individuals and families. We partnered with Saint Vincent de Paul to serve neighbors in need in our own Blessed Sacrament faith family as well as St. Joan of Arc, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Maria Goretti communities and residents of Stepping Stones. Catholic Charities Affordable Housing residents and those served by Family Promise in Phoenix, Tempe and Glendale were also served. Our classrooms were converted into "stores" where our guests were guided by volunteer "personal shoppers." They built their own personalized "Thanksgifting Goody Bag" from donated Health and Hygiene Products and surplus food items from Saint Vincent de Paul's recent Fall Food Drive. Many thanks to more than 75 donors and 50 parish volunteers for supporting this parish-wide outreach in partnership with Saint Vincent De Paul. We are thankful to Safeway/Albertsons for allowing our distribution of donated gift cards for the purchase of food and gas and the Blessed Sacrament Women's Community for their sponsorship.
