Divine Mercy Sunday Nine years ago on Divine Mercy Sunday 2016 and I was praying in my chapel in Williams very early in the morning , quietly preparing for Divine Mercy Sunday Masses.

It is such a special day in the Easter season, and I wanted more to give to the people. Praying in front of the tabernacle I asked Jesus:
“Could You help me out a little here, Lord?

I’d like to have something special to tell my people today, Divine Mercy Sunday. Lord, could you let a thought, a word, a scrap fall from your table for me to meditate on?

I immediately heard an inner voice say to me:
“Just Read The Words....”

So I picked up the readings and read from St. John’s Gospel, Chapter 20, today’s beautiful account of the first Divine Mercy Sunday:
As I read the words: “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side...” and I gasped. It was just as if I had never, ever read these words before.

“Bring your hand and put it INTO my side.”

This is a quite startling and astounding line. He was telling Thomas to put his whole hand and wrist into the wound in His side made by the lance.

Then the inner voice spoke again:
“I was telling Thomas: ‘I want you to touch my Heart.....’” His Pierced, Sacred Heart.

We too are called to touch Jesus’ Heart.

Divine Mercy Sunday

Divine Mercy Devotions at 3:00pm.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy awakens our understanding that we can unite ourselves in the offering of Jesus to the Father, in union with the action of the Priest during the celebration of the Holy Mass:
“Eternal Father I offer You the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.”

We have been redeemed by Blood of Jesus, the Son of God, Who is the spotless Innocent Lamb, now Risen as He said.

During this great Feast of the Divine Mercy, ask for the grace to receive and share God’s Mercy for someone you know. Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet in its simplicity, helps us to place ourselves in God’s loving and merciful embrace. In St. Maria Faustina Kowalska’s Diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, Jesus revealed to her in private revelation:
Write this for the benefit of souls; when a soul sees and realizes the gravity of its sins, when the whole abyss of the misery into which it immersed itself is displayed before its eyes, let it not despair, but with trust let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother.

These souls have a right of priority to My compassionate Heart, they have first access to My mercy.” (Diary,1541)
