Shaped by the Word: A Habit for Missionary Disciples

Shaped by the Word is a 6- week Lenten process of learning to let God’s word inform and shape your daily understanding and activity.  The emphasis in this Lenten series will be experiential and habit-forming.  The goal is to encourage participants to develop the practice of praying with the Scriptures in an intentional and transformative manner.  Sessions are Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00am, February 16 through March 23 in the Church Classroom.

Week 1: Lectio: Reading the Word

Week 2: Meditatio: Listening to the Word

Week 3: Oratio: Making a prayer the Word

Week 4: Contemplatio: Interacting with the Word

Week 5: Ruminatio: Being Shaped by the Word

Week 6: Missionary Discipleship: Living the Word
